Romeo Jimenez went missing on August 17, 1985, in Sapang Tagalog, San Miguel, Tarlac; he was a member of a peasant organization in Tarlac.  On or about 8:00 in the evening of August 17, 1985, Romeo was asked by his friend and five other people to go with them to a wake in their village of Sapang Tagalog. At 10:00 in the evening they were arrested by PC soldiers on suspicion that they were NPA rebels; they were never seen again.  There were reports that all those arrested were killed.
