On February 27, 1984, at around 8:00 in the evening, Enrique Leal,  and Rodrigo Bernardo, both farmers from Binagbag, Angat, Bulacan, went to irrigate their sitaw farm at Binagbag, Angat, Bulacan.  On the same evening, men belonging to the 145th PC Coy and the Civilian Home Defense Force (CHDF) were conducting military operations in the area. Enrique and Bernardo never returned home from that night.  The wife of Enrique worried because he failed to return home immediately. She searched for him, asking several farmers in the area if they saw the two farmers; they answered no and added that a military operation was going on that day. The families of the victims then went to the camps of the 171st PC Coy, the CHDF, the Angat Police, and the 145th PC Coy; all denied they had the victims in custody or ever arrested them.  Both remain missing.
