At 4:30 in the afternoon of February 15, a white Ford Fierra jeep with the markings Integrated National Police stopped at the corner of Mababang Lupa, San Agustin, Hagonoy, Bulacan.  Seven armed men aboard the Fierra got out and spread out in different directions because they are looking for somebody. Two of them went to a place where a mahjong game was going on, and they saw Roberto Lopez, who was watching the game. Lopez was immediately taken, and his head was banged against a concrete wall. The policemen also planted a gun into his waist; they then dragged Roberto into their waiting vehicle and sped away from the place.  Witnesses identified the Hagonoy PNP being among those who abducted Roberto.  When news of Lopez's abduction by the police broke, his wife and mother went to the police station to inquire about him. The policeman on duty at the station denied they have Roberto in their custody and also denied they have officers named Laderas and Gutierrez. They then went to the provincial headquarters in Malolos, Bulacan, but were also told that they do not have custody of Roberto.
