Ramon Jasul, 23, a student of journalism at the Lyceum in Manila until 1972, was last seen in the company of the six other missing persons. From reports of the Task Force Detainees of the Philippines, it was learned that six others had in fact disappeared under the same or related circumstances, all within a couple of days apart.
The families of the missing began searching for their missing loved ones in the first week of August 1977. They visited detention centers in Manila and in Camp Olivas in Pampanga but gathered only negative results.
On August 17, 1977, the Bulletin Today carried a news item concerning an "encounter" that was said to have taken place in Mauban, Quezon, on August 14, 1977. Listed as among those who had been slain in the encounter were "Greg," "Felix," "Apollo," and "Puring." The "Greg" listed was positively identified as Modesto "Bong" Sison, who was one of the eight arrested before August 3, 1977, in Makati. Ramon Jasul and his colleagues remain missing until today.
