Disappearance date: January 3, 2012

Ahung, Najir

On January 3, 2012, Najir Ahung, Rasdie Kasaran, and Yusup Mohammad traveled from Zamboanga to Manila via Air Philippines as scholars of the International University of Africa in Sudan. They were scheduled to leave for Khartoum, Sudan via Qatar Airways at 12:10 a.m. of January 4, 2012. Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Najir Ahung was able to send a message to his brother, Barangay Captain Jamih Arawi of Barangay Guinanta, Al-Barka, Basilan, confirming that they have arrived in Manila.

The families have not received any information from the students since.

Jose Alto an ex-political detainee for two times was abducted by four unidentified man (believed to be military agent) last November 27,1980 at 12:00PM in Herbosa street cor. Carlos Garcia Street Tondo Manila.

Aruta - Brillante, Reynaldo Jr.

Reynaldo Aruta Brillante, Jr., a.k.a. Reymond Aruta, 17 years old, an out-of-school youth, and a resident of 20 M. Rivera Street, San Roque 2, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, was abducted on October 9, 2018, 1:30 a.m. at Trinoma, Quezon City, by seven unidentified members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) aboard a white van.

Astillero, Edgardo

Astillero Edgardo and 4 others have been reported missing since Sunday, February 10, 1991, after armed men posing as police officers dragged them out of a basketball court inside the Camella Homes Subdivision, Parañaque. Witnesses said they saw the five bound with rope before the three vehicles sped away. The still fruitless search by the relatives who came all the way from Albay and Legaspi City prompted them to report to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the PNP.

Balila, Beth 

Beth Balila, 26, of 7 Villa Angeles, Bangbang, Pasig, was an active member of the Alliance of Nationalist and Genuine Labor Organization (ANGLO), an affiliate of the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU); she was working at Chems de Baron, a garment factory in Mandaluyong. In 1989 she disappears without a trace.

According to Beth's mother, Beth told her that she was accused of being a rebel by three bulky men.

Then, the same thing happened a month later when the same men accosted her and held her arms tightly and accused her of being a rebel Amazon.

On July 16, 1989, at around 11:00 in the morning, she left her house and was never seen again.

Barrios, David Jr.

Barrios, David Jr., 27, male, single, senior researcher of MP Romeo Jalosjos of Zamboanga del Norte, was last seen on the premises of the United Church of Christ of the Philippines (UCCP) at EDSA, Quezon City, on November 19, 1985.

Barrios, Jr. was abducted by three armed plainclothes men between 12:45 and 1:00 PM on the 2nd-floor grounds of UCCP National Headquarters. Along the corridor, two of the three men pointed their .45 caliber guns at Barrios and the three other witnesses. They were forced to lie down and singled out Barrios. Witnesses saw Barrios and the three men walk out of the UCCP through the backdoor. The three suspects reportedly shoved Barrios into a cream-colored Toyota Corolla car, which sped off to Cubao.

Bati-on, Prudencio 

PRUDENCIO BATI-ON, 34, married with four children and resident of Natividad St., Blumentritt, Sta. Cruz, Manila, was declared missing by his relatives after he failed to go home last March 1, 1999.

Bautista, Victoriano Jr.

Victoriano Bautista, a resident of #29 Diamond Rd. Cor. Gen. Pilar Village, Almanza, Las Piñas, Manila, was abducted by four armed men at around 3:30 pm on January 30, 1986, in Las Piñas, Metro Manila. His abductors, according to the witnesses, were riding a blue Toyota car with a plate number WSM 625.

Bentain, Edgar

Edgar Bentain was abducted on January 16, 1999, after he was identified as the one who leaked the video of then presidential candidate Joseph Estrada playing at the casino.

Bonagua, Efren

Efren Bonagua was last known to have gone to meet a business associate in Marikina, Metro Manila, until around 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 1988, as he had informed his mother, Azucena Bonagua, at noontime of the same day. He left home at around 2:00 pm. He was expected to be back by 7:00 pm; however, he has not been seen nor heard from by his relatives or friends since that Wednesday afternoon.

Borromeo, Aldrin

Burgos, Jonas Joseph

On April 28, 2007, Jonas Joseph Burgos failed to arrive home, and he was just somewhere in EVER GOTESCO on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. At the time of the incident, Burgos, who is a graduate of agriculture from the Benguet State University, had been giving agricultural technology training for members of the Alyansa ng Magbubukid sa Bulacan (AMB), a chapter of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP, or Peasant Movement of the Philippines) for the past nine years. The AMB and KMP are peasant organizations lobbying for the solution of agrarian issues in Central Luzon. Prior to Burgos' disappearance, several leaders and members of the AMB have already been victims of either killings or abductions allegedly committed by security forces in the past.

Cabrera, Romeo

ROMEO L. CABRERA left home around 10:00 in the morning of 11 December 1977 and never to return again; he did not tell anybody in the family where he was going. Romeo's father, Cabrera, Sr., was very concerned about his son's activities at the Philippine College of Commerce (PCC), where he was an active student leader the previous two school years. The elder Cabrera made his son take up architecture at the Manuel L. Quezon University to keep him away from his anti-government activities at the PCC.

He found out that Romeo was actively exposing human rights violations and other crimes of Marcos' martial law rule.

Cardano, Felix 

Two labor leaders were abducted by three suspected elements of the Western Police District near the vicinity of the Manila Hotel in Luneta Park on May 1, 1989, shortly after a violent dispersal of Labor Day rallyists by members of the WPD anti-riot squad. The two were last seen surrounded by three men at around 5:30pm after fleeing from a teargas attack by the WPD anti-riot squad and dispersal team. According to reliable witnesses, the two were arrested by persons in civilian clothes and were hauled inside a van with no plate number. Thereafter, the two were taken to an unknown location.

Caro, Roberto

Pastor Roberto de Leon Caro, 36, was reportedly abducted by three men, believed to be policemen or military men, on Wednesday, May 6, 1992, at around 6:15 pm while buying peanuts from a vendor. He was going about his ministry at De Castro Street, De Castro Subdivision, Rosario, Pasig. The three men rode in an owner-type jeepney favored by the police and the military.

Carreon, Buenaventura

Buenaventura Carreon, 41 years old, is married with one child and an account bookkeeper of Solid Bank-Tabora Branch in Divisoria, Manila. He was also the president of the Solid Bank employees' union with 1,400 members.

On September 22, 1988, at about 8:13 in the morning, he left their house to go to work; he usually rides the Marikina Bus from Quiricada to Divisoria. His officemate called up her wife Sylvia to tell her that Buenaventura did not report for work that day.

Catalla, Melania Cristina

Melania "Cristina" Catalla, 27 years old, single, an economics undergraduate student of U.P. (University of the Philippines) Los Banos, a member of SAMAHAN NG DEMOKRATIKONG KABATAAN (SDK), was last seen in the vicinity of Ayala Ave. near Makati Medical Center, Makati City, last July 30, 1977. She was reportedly seen with plainclothes operatives of the military intelligence. Christina was supposedly brought there as bait for the arrest of her comrades. From then on, the whereabouts of Christina, together with six others, were unknown.

Cedro, Armando Sr.

Armando Cedro Sr., 42 years of age, married, and an organizer of the Kongreso ng Pagkakaisa ng Maralitang Taga-lunsod (KMPL), was abducted by six unidentified armed men believed to be members of the operatives of the RIOU-NCR in his residence at 357 Northbay Boulevard, Navotas, Metro Manila, on July 14, 1988, at around 5:30 in the afternoon.

The six men in civilian clothes, armed with .45 caliber pistols and Armalite rifles, were aboard six cars without plate numbers and barged into the victim's house. They right away punched, handcuffed, and blindfolded Armando. He was later dragged into one of the vehicles.

Comiso, Rolando

Rolando and 2 other members of the left-wing political parties BAYAN MUNA and BAYAN were reported abducted by ten unidentified armed men believed to be members of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP).

According to reports, on August 18, 2004, as the men drove through Sampaloc at around 5pm, their car was blocked by a waiting vehicle. Around ten unidentified men alighted from their car and surrounded the victims' car, then fired a warning shot and forced them to transfer to the other vehicle, and both vehicles were then driven off in a convoy of several cars.

Cruz, Astrophel

Astophel Cruz was an electrician and a former ANP campaigner in the last senatorial/congressional elections.
On June 8, 1987, at around 8:30 PM, an unidentified man fetched Astrophel Cruz and asked the latter to fix the farmer's electrical fuse. Astrophel, who was only wearing walking shorts, was not able to change his clothes or get some pocket money because the man was in a hurry and said that he had a jeep. So Astrophel came along with the man. They were seen by a neighbor in a jeep with two more men going to Abad Santos St. 

Since then he has not returned home.

Del Rosario, Carlos

Carlos "Charlie" del Rosario, 27 years old, a resident of 2424 Sulu St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, a professor of Philippine College of Commerce, and a secretariat member of Movement of Democratic Philippines (MDP), was reported missing after he was last seen at around 9:30 pm posting a PCC poster in Manila.

Dela Cerna, Nestor 

On March 5, 2018, at around 7:00 in the morning, Nestor dela Cerna was stopped by armed men onboard a white car. He was dragged from his pedicab and made to lie on the ground and handcuffed; he was immediately shoved into the car.

The white car immediately drove out of San Guillermo Street into the busy main road and sped off.

Nestor remains disappeared.

Dela Cruz, Patricia

On October 16, 2016, Patricia dela Cruz, 21 years old, was allegedly taken along with her husband, Jestoni Roniel, 20 years old, and a certain Inong, by an unidentified number of members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team at Tala, Caloocan City.

According to Patricia's mother-in-law, at 12:20 a.m., Patricia, along with eight others, was at their house when SWAT team members barged in. They were looking for a known drug pusher in the area. When they did not find him, they then ordered everyone with tattoos to come forward. The ones with tattoos were Patricia, her husband Jestoni, and Inong, the caretaker of the house. The SWAT members kicked them, then a gunshot was heard. Patricia was hit on her right arm. The three were then taken by the SWAT members. They left aboard two vehicles.
