Luis Bon Jr. was last seen on February 19, 1988, when three members of INP invited him for questioning regarding the killing of a CHDF member allegedly by members of the New People's Army.
According to the victim's sister, Cecilia, who witnessed the incident, on February 19, 1988, at around 10:00 a.m., while his brother was reading at their house in Tulay, Casiguran, Sorsogon, three INP members, one of whom was identified as Bimbo Esquivas, arrived at their house and invited her brother to go with them to the INP station in Casiguran. Voluntarily, Luis Bon Jr. went with them.
Thereafter, Cecilia went to the Councilman of Kawit to report the incident. Immediately, the councilman went to the INP station at around 12:00 noon on the same day. An INP station commander told them that the victim had already been sent home to Magallanes, Sorsogon.
At around 1:00 p.m. On the same day, four INP troopers arrived and entered the house of Cecilia Camposano and ransacked all her belongings. The members of INP told the Composano family that they are just following the order of their sergeant to search the house. At around 6:00 p.m. The INP members returned for the second time at the house of the Composanos and left after five minutes.
At around 6:30 p.m. Still the same day, a fish vendor in Casiguran went to the house of Cecilia and told them that they saw Luis Bon Jr. at around 5:00 p.m. inside the INP jeep with policemen.
