On March 15, 1982, at around 6:00 in the morning, Joaquin Sardo, married, farmer, and resident of Purok 3, Teddi Sta. Rosa Sur, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte, left his house to help the people who were called by the Barangay Captain, and after half an hour, Remedios Sardo, Joaquin's wife, also followed.

When they arrived at Jose Dayaon's house, there was a force of the 60th IB. Remedios was asked where to go and was not allowed to leave, while Joaquin was made to go up to the house, and there he saw Juan and Marvin Banlon; the fathers Gualberto and Edilberto Guban; the wives Elino and Elena Rada; and Gomeno and Lolita Sacriz.

They were detained for two days, and Remedios was asked if he knew Ka Boy, the leader of the NPA, and Remedios was threatened with being shot if he did not tell the truth.

March 16, 1982: Remedios Sardo heard one of the military say, 'Poor bastards, my gun is rusty; it will only be cleaned now.'  On March 17, 1982, Joaquin Sardo was buying food in town when he met the military and was not allowed to leave. Joaquin was taken away, and since then there has been no news about his whereabouts.
