According to Florincia, wife of Florencio, Florencio together with his nephew Danilo Tarpia were riding on a tricycle on their way to Calamba, Laguna when two men who identified themselves as CIS agents accosted them. Florencio was dragged away in a military gray aluminum jeep. Before they left, Florencio told his nephew to tell his wife to follow him up in Camp Bicutan, Taguig where allegedly the two CIS agents will bring him. Present at the scene were two barrio captains of Bo. Burol and Macabling of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The two barrio captains were the one who guided the CIS men to Ka Pesyong (Florencio).
Since Florencio's disappearance, Florencia, his wife, has gone around to look for him. She sought the help of priests and nuns, TFD, and even high government officials in locating Florencio. They have checked with Camp Crame, Los Banos, Canlubang, Imus PC Command, Bicutan, and a certain Major Opena of Lucena, but no Ka Pesyong turned up. After several days of following up on the case, she learned that the one who abducted Ka Pesyong was a PC sergeant. The one who ordered his abduction was a guard of the Dynavision plantation in Cavite, where Ka Pesyong is working.
According to his wife, Florencio could have irked the Dynavision management because her husband had led the sugar workers in the plantation to organize a union and hailed him as their leader. Florencio was able to help the workers to rollback their wages to their original rates at the National Labor Relations Commission. After winning the case, the workers started to experience harassment and threats. Eighty-five of them were laid off. Because of Florencio's intervention, once again, the union prevailed. Since then, he's received death threats, one from said guard.
On March 19, 1979, when his wife visited Camp Vicente Lim in Canlubang, Laguna, two PC sergeants confronted her and said that Florencio is a commander of the NPA and was killed in an encounter last January 20 in Maragondon, Cavite. But Florencia told them to surface his dead body and asked for a certification to get the dead body allegedly in Imus. The military didn't give her anything.
FLAG lawyers advised Florencia to send petition letters to higher military and civilian authorities requesting an investigation on Ka Pesyong's disappearance. She also sought the help of Atty. Jose W. Diokno, chairman of FLAG, who wrote defense minister Juan Ponce Enrile.
Florencio Pesquesa is still disappeared up to now.
