Ely Raburar was apprehended by unidentified armed men at around 12 noon last August 02, 1984, while waiting for a ride in front of the Permalite Industrial Corporation in Marikina.

Ely Coper Rabukar was an organizer of the National Association of Trade Unions (NATU).

Residents living nearby the incident said that Raburar was abducted by heavily armed men in three cars.

Up to this writing, the whereabouts of Raburar Ely Coper were still unknown.
