On May 15, 1984, Danilo Deldoc brought his friend Jose to the Manila Doctors Hospital. He was shot in the lower part of his right eye. Nobody knows who shot him while reading a magazine in his house in Antipolo, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija.  Jose was discharged from the hospital on May 20. His wife Perlita and his friend Danilo Deldoc took him in a cab and proceeded to their place.   Armed plainclothesmen in three tinted civilian cars intercepted their taxi along UN Avenue and picked up its three passengers at gunpoint at around 12:30 noon.  Members and friends of their families tried to locate them at the municipal jails of Obando and Malolos, Camp Crame, and Camp Aguinaldo, but to no avail. They were also helped by the Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG).   It was gathered that last June 7 at around 5:00 pm Jose, Perlita, and Danilo Deldoc were brought by the elements of the 189th PC COY to a detachment in Antipolo, Bongabon. They were asked to sketch something.   When they were about to leave, Perlita asked if they could drop by their place. She wanted to see her children. But the request was turned down.   At around 7:00 pm the group proceeded to Atete, Palayan City. The military men summoned the kapitan and introduced the couple. He was asked if he knew Jose, a former student leader at the Central Luzon State University, and his pregnant wife. He didn't know them. Neither do the other residents interviewed.  And then the shots were heard.  The following day, relatives of Jose, 29, and Perlita, 25, learned from the military that the two were killed in an ambush. They left four children. The eldest is in grade four.  As of now, Danilo Deldoc is still disappeared.
