Carlos "Charlie" del Rosario, a resident of 2424 Sulu St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, and professor of Philippine College of Commerce, and a secretariat member of Movement of Democratic Philippines (MDP), was reported missing after he was last seen at around 9:30 pm posting a PCC poster in Manila.

 

According to the president of Philippine College of Commerce, he talked with Prof. Charlie del Rosario regarding their first scheduled national meeting of MDP on May 29-30 and even dared del Rosario to strive for the victory of MDP. At around 10:00 pm, the father of Charlie del Rosario received a phone call from Charlie informing him that he was going to an MDP meeting in Arayat, Cubao, Quezon City, at around 11:00 pm. After the night he mysteriously disappeared (Friday).

 

The secretary general of MDP added that Del Rosario did not appear on the day of the meeting and even did not attend to his other scheduled meeting.  On April 12, 1971, at Freedom Park, Malacañang, Mrs. Geronima B. Del Rosario, mother of Charlie, appealed to Pres. Marcos to help her find his missing son.

 

Mrs. Geronima del Rosario, with the help of other relatives, went to various military and police camps and even a morgue but only yielded negative results.
