Ben Pangan, a tricycle driver, was abducted by four men believed to be military operatives near the cemetery at Brgy. Bartolome, Sta. Ana, Pampanga. At around 11a.m. On February 1, 1985, Ben was riding on a tricycle on his way to buy poultry products together with Ben Macalino when armed men in another vehicle sideswept them. When they were forced to stop, the armed men abducted Ben Pangan and shoved him into their vehicle. Relatives of Ben who immediately checked various military and police camps in the area failed to get any information on his whereabouts because the military and police denied having him in their custody. Ben Pangan is the third Sta. Ana Resident was abducted by the military for alleged subversive activities during a three-week period starting January 1985.
